Operation Cleansweep making progress… (updated)
As you may know, a crack team of volunteers from around the internet have been making a concerted effort to go through patches found on Launchpad, clean them up, and integrate them. We call this Operation Cleansweep.
As of this writing Ubuntu contributors working on Cleansweep have sent around 225 patches (FIX: that’s 225 bugs, 135 of which contained patches that were forwarded, 77 need work see below) to Debian and/or upstream. Their status is a mixed bag. Some are pending acceptance and/or review, some got accepted, and surely some will be rejected.
Want to know how you can help keep this going and drive on with the mission? Here’s how to get started. And remember, we stilll have a ways to go!
EDIT: Daniel has passed along these numbers:
Total bugs with patches: 2275 (0) Reviewed patches: 290 (+15) --- Bugs with 'patch-needswork': 77 (+4) Bugs with 'patch-forwarded-upstream': 108 (+4) Bugs with 'patch-forwarded-debian': 27 (+3) Bugs with 'indicator-application': 44 (0) Bugs with 'patch-accepted-upstream': 50 (+2) Bugs with 'patch-accepted-debian': 12 (0) Bugs with 'patch-rejected-upstream': 12 (+1) Bugs with 'patch-rejected-debian': 0 (0) --- Last updated: Sun, 13 Jun 2010 08:05:28 +0200
Here’s the list of bugs with patches sent upstream. And here is the report from Daniel, updated weekly.
Progress on patches …
Bobbo has posted an update on the progress of getting the number of unreviewed patches under control.
If you want to help David and Nigel keep plugging at this then please consider joining the Ubuntu Review team, there will be a session on Thursday on IRC if you want to get started:
Pretty good progress so far!
